During writing my articles, I have my own rule that says: If you are using your own words, there should be no plagiarism issue. If I were you, I prefer to use my own words by paraphrasing the sentences in the document. Another important related issue, be careful if you have other co-authors with you. I only trust my own words.

Excellent question. But most of the answer is don't copy and paste. This is most of the time correct but not always..Problem is based on the tools used at the journal side. If I am expert in particular area two or few times I can write fresh sentence..after that if I want to write what is the options...then I have to use my old content..then it becomes text cycling as part of self plagiarism.. Best is which ever method you do, you try to rephrase to the maximum... Check with free online software or any paid software...look similarity index...change the line...when it is 0 percent go and submit.. In spite of all these the journal site will.say 17 percent similarity etc...they show sentence and change accordingly the sentence... This will always the process...

Dear Mohammed I. Rushdi free softwares are not giving accurate similarity index ..if you want to publish your article in any good journal scopus/scie then use turnitin/ Ithenticate as both are best the option the description of popular similarity checking softwares are given below. Urkund is a web-based application that conducts server-side plagiarism detection. The solution to detect plagiarism is integrated and automated. This is a paid service that utilizes a standard email program to upload documentation and display information. This program handles 300 separate types of submissions and checks all accessible online sources. The educational sources of documents are given more priority while searching.UGC provides this software to universities of india for similarity checking. Ithenticate for any text document is an effective tool for web-based plagiarism detection. Installation on a client computer is not necessary. Input materials are comparable with the references accessible on the site in this case. Many well-known journal publishers utilize this well-known method. It is a professional fast plagiarism checker that is easy to use. This is meant for institutional use instead of personal use, but essentially this offers a restricting feature for consumers of the specific identification of plagiarism, such as students of master and doctoral education. this allows them to check a document of up to 25,000 words. Turnitin is a successful web-based tool. Detection and reporting is done remotely in this method. 15,000 universities and 30 Million students have now approved Turnitin because of its user-friendly design, broad repository help, robust plagiarism tests and structured report production. It can be seen as one of the best plagiarism checker Arun kumar sharma

You may follow the below steps to keep your manuscript plagiarism free while writing: 1- Understanding the papers: This step is really necessary. First, you need to completely read, understand and absorb the whole/portion of the papers that you wish to include in your manuscript. Failure to this step can lead you to have insufficient knowledge before writing. 2- Paraphrasing/Rephrasing: Now the next step is to rephrase/paraphrase the given portion of the paper that you wish to include. In order to perform this step, you need to have a good grip on grammar, synonyms, and vocabulary of the related technical terms. To improve grammar and technical terms, you can read as many relevant articles as possible, whereas you can use Collin's Thesaurus to look for synonyms. If you are using Microsoft Word, you can simply right-click on a word and see its synonym as well. 3- Use Turnitin to check plagiarism: Almost all universities provide a free Turnitin account for the faculty. I was also provided, hence I check my paper's plagiarism via Turnitin. After you have checked plagiarism, you can then rephrase/paraphrase the highlighted text showing the similarity. I hope it helps.
